Consistent quality. True independence.
WotanWeld takes over typical welding tasks in steel fabrication — automated, reliable, without drawings, consistent, and without breaks. Its vision system responds to actual conditions such as welding gaps and ensures consistent quality across shifts.
CAD-Based, AI-Enhanced Robotic Welding for
High-Precision Beam Fabrication
The VikingWeld Series is an intelligent robotic welding solution for structural beam fabrication, combining 3D vision, advanced geometric algorithms, arc tracking and AI-assisted process optimization to achieve fast, repeatable and high-quality weld results in demanding production environments.
VikingWeld uses a digital IFC assembly model as the welding reference and, in combination with a vision system, verifies the correct positioning of the parts to be welded. In addition a visual positioning system with real-time arc tracking for maximum precision. This approach ensures highly accurate fillet welds with minimal gaps, stable penetration and consistent quality across large beam assemblies.
Technical Description
The VikingWeld Series is a CNC-controlled robotic beam welding system designed for automated fillet welding of steel beams and structural assemblies.
Based on a CAD-driven workflow, the system imports a single IFC model of the complete assembly, automatically identifies weld seams and generates optimized welding paths.
A large-reach industrial robot mounted on a programmable walking rail covers long workpieces efficiently, while dual-stage vision positioning ensures accurate coarse alignment and precise seam localization.
Integrated arc tracking continuously compensates for thermal distortion and dimensional variation, guaranteeing stable weld penetration and repeatable quality.
Optional AI-based weld evaluation enables continuous optimization of welding parameters based on real weld seam imagery.
